For family physicians the best kept secret in Ontario is the Primary Care Blended Payment Model – the Family Health Organization (FHO) and its predecessor the Family Health Network (FHN).
We understand that as family physicians you work full time caring for your patients. Our goal is to bring you the benefits of the FHO model in a way that allows you to stay you focussed on your practice.
The Family Health Organization presents family physicians providing comprehensive care increased remuneration, a steady monthly income, flexibility in how you deliver medical services including the option of telemedicine, coverage for their patients while away from the office and funded continued medical education.
Cirrus will customize our services for the specific needs of each physician group. Our services include:
- Assessing both the individual physicians and the groups practice to determine that the FHO model will be of benefit and to identify any practice issues that need to be addressed.
- Assist in determining the best configuration for the FHO group to address contract obligations such as group After Hours and on call requirements.
- Facilitate the group’s discussions regarding group governance agreement which addresses those components such as insurance, covering for group physicians on vacation, group management fees and payments.
- We will coordinate and submit the required documentation to the Ministry of Health and address any issues as they arise.
- Provide physician and staff education to address changes in payment.
- Ensure that physicians are optimizing the benefits available to them from the FHO payment model.
- Ongoing practice management.
Cirrus will coordinate the assessment and transition to the FHO model to minimize impact/disruption to your practice and daily workflow.
